A laugh-out-loud rhyming romp about how being HANGRY can turn you into a little bit of a monster! Brought to life by debut author, Kathryn Wanless, and illustrations packed with humour and personality from Fred Blunt.

When Evangeline's alarm clock shrieks, the day is NOT off to a good start because. . . SHE'S HANGRY! But after breakfast, Evangeline is back to feeling right and skips happily down the street. Yet, at school, as lunchtime looms near. . . Yes, you guessed it. . . SHE'S HANGRY! The afternoons are always lots of fun. Except, as she leaves the playground and spots her waiting Mum, UH OH. . . SHE'S HANGRY, AGAIN!

When at last they make it home, things go from bad to worse. It turns out that it's not only Evangeline who is HANGRY! Can Evangeline and Mum work together to find the perfect snack before it's too late?

WARNING: There may be a HANGRY monster lurking inside of you too. . .

This fantastically funny and bouncy story gives voice to a very real experience. Being hungry brings out some big, and sometimes confusing, feelings in children (and grown-ups too), making it the ideal book to share and read together. The best addition to bookshelves that include: I Really Want the Cake, One Hungry Dragon and The Kitchen Disco.
